All Hail, the iPhone

The Playstation 3 release drew alot of people to wait overnight, but the game console turned out to be a dud. The next biggest thing I can recall that did deserve some hype, because of the limited supply, was the launch of the Xbox360. It was the first of the next-generation gaming systems to be playable on hi-def TV's. Heck, some even waited on line for Microsoft Vista. But let me just state for the record, the Apple iPhone is the biggest release event... EVER! Technology-wise, that is. It comes out today at Apple Stores and AT&T stores at 6pm. It's all over the news, including the monsterous Apple Store on 5th Avenue, yeh, the one that is open 24 hours a day. My friend, Tracy, called to tell me there's a line in the Pentagon City mall Apple Store, just outside Washington D.C. I will run over to the SoHo Apple Store, after work.
