iphone blues

iPhone launch day? No, actually, this is taken more than two weeks after the July 11th, launch day! It is the flagship store in Soho, New York City. The immensely popular 3G iPhone has been very scarce in both Apple Stores and AT&T stores. The new iPhone is being sold on eBay for up to $1000. Even the first-generation iPhone sells for above $600, which pays off the original cost of the phone, and then some. That goes to show how much re-sell value Apple products have. I had placed an order for the 3G at AT&T about a week and a half ago. And I have not received a call from them yet. Plus, the order status tool on their website does not work. When I called AT&T, callers are greeted by a automated voice, stating that "due to the popular demand of the iPhone, you may experience longer than normal wait times." I called the Soho Apple Store, at 11am, and a customer service rep said that the 16 GB model is available. But you have to wait on line, and that would be 3 to 4 hours. She was rather rude, and hung up abruptly as if she had enough phone calls about the iphone. Perhaps, I am not as high on the Apple fandom scale as some peeps. But I guess I am considered a semi-apple fanboy, starting to feel like im falling behind, and kinda... lost, not having one of my own yet. So, I must "learn patience", to quote the wise Obi-Wan Kenobi. In the meantime, I'll keep using my crappy Sony Ericcson cell phone.
