iphone apps: streaming radio

Apps greatly expand the capabilities of the new 3G iPhone... and breathe new life into one-year-old "classic" iPhone. One of the first apps i sought, was AOL Radio which has a license with CBS radio to stream their stations. Happily, they include the smooth jazz genre, among all other kinds of categories. The app, Pandora, also streams music, though it dynamically bases the playlist to your first song choice. Quite ingenious.

Although NPR does not have an app, did you also know you still can get streams of their shows? Because the iphone has a browser, known as Safari, you can go to NPR's mobile website, m.npr.org. Just look for your category and then choose your city, and stream away!
